TRAINING FOR WARRIORS

The TFW system originated as a fitness program for some of the best combat athletes in the world over 20 years ago.  Today, the training methods of the TFW system can benefit anyone looking to lose fat, build muscle and feel good.  TFW is taught by a global network of affiliated coaches and trainers in licensed TFW locations.  Now with over 275 affiliates locations in 30 countries, thousands of people per day are using the TFW system to bring his or her fitness to another level in life.

Whatever your fitness level, you can benefit from the TFW system, as many of the worlds top athletes have already.  At TFW we believe everyone is a warrior inside - a warrior being anyone preparing to work hard, develop oneself and take on life's challenges.  The fun and exciting workouts of the TFW system are designed to help you develop the muscular strength and mental fortitude to take on those challenges and reach your goals.

Any gym can have equipment and offer workout classes.  What separates TFW from other programs is its culture!  TFW encompasses signature warmups, speed training, strength training, endurance training, flexibility work and nutrition all based on a comprehensive evaluation process, but the most important component of the system is its motivational approach and family environment.  At TFW, we know if you don't have fun and enjoy the training, you won't do it.  TFW is not designed as a sport or competition, but focuses on you competing against and bettering your own body, mind and spirit.  If you want to build strength, feel healthier, lose fat or gain muscle - Training for Warriors will deliver.

KALI - FILIPINO MARTIAL ARTS

Self-Defense methods originating in the Philippines - incorporating elements from both Western and Eastern martial arts - the most popular forms of which are known as Arnis, Escrima, and Kali.  The intrinsic need for self-preservation was the genesis of these systems.  Throughout the ages, invaders and evolving local conflict imposed new dynamics for combat in the islands now making up the Philippines.  The Filipino people developed these skills as a direct result of an appreciation of their ever-changing circumstances.  Learn this indigenous self-defense art form through certified instructors in the art.

An outstanding program for both very young as well as older students with mobility restrictions.

KICKBOXING - MUAY THAI - MMA FITNESS

Muay Thai or Thai Boxing is the national sport and cultural martial art of Thailand.  It was developed hundreds of years ago as a form or close-combat that utilizes the entire body as a weapon.  Our classes and instruction are designed to improve your overall confidence, fitness, dexterity, strength and cardio all within a curriculum that emphasizes self-defense.  Note:  This is not a combative sparring or fight class and is suitable for everyone looking to improve their health, fitness and self-defense skills.  Muay Thai classes are taught by professional MMA and Muay Thai fighter Cameron Martin who trained with title-holding UFC champions.

Kickboxing classes are taught separately from the Muay Thai classes but share all of the same benefits.  Kickboxing is an outstanding workout that tones and strengthens your entire body, increases cardio, builds confidence, helps with stress all while learning some useful self-defense methods.

Boxing has shown to be immensely beneficial for such ailments as Parkinson's and similar neurological disabilities and we support specialized training in these areas.

MOBILITY TRAINING

Mobility Training optimizes movement and performance by increasing the range of motion within your joints and surrounding muscles. The benefits of mobility training are wide-ranging, helping with everything from pain and muscle soreness to form and strength. The main goal of mobility training is to improve the position of the joint, which helps increase power output, resulting in efficient performance. When you have a good range of motion, you can push move much more efficiently. This translates to fewer injuries, more productive training, a faster pace and improved athletic performance.

PRIMAL-7

Primal 7 is not just a name, rather it comes from the deep understanding that as humans we have seven different "primal movements" we need to be able to perform to function optimally:  Push, Pull, Squat, Lunge, Gait, Twist and Hinge.  The exercises designed for the Primal-7 system are all based upon the appropriate use of these movements.  Save movement is out priority!  Primal-7 functions as a suspension system with assistance straps connected by an elastic band that is designed to help you increase mobility, improve balance, and build functional strength.  The suspension system allows you to ease stress on body components allowing the exercise of a full range of motion and muscle use without undue stress or hardship to your body.  It improves body alignment, posture, and "helps you conquer your can't".  It is an extraordinarily successful system for physical therapy, rehabilitation, age or injury related weaknesses, and helps provide the ability to ease into fuller workouts.
